I've owned this saw for over a year, and have found it to be of great use both indoors and outdoors, wherever low accuracy cutting is needed. For example, I've attached a wood cutting blade, Milwaukee 49-22-1129 12-Piece Ultimate Demolition Sawzall Blade Set, and pruned tree branches up to 6 inches in diameter, or I've attached a live wood blade, Milwaukee 48-00-1301 Sawzall 9-Inch 5-Teeth per Inch Pruning Blade, 5-Pack and cut down saplings and woody weeds, I've even made some awkward cuts when constructing a child's play area. In all these situations, this tool has done its job well.

Changing blades is reasonably convenient, just pull back on the locking lever and insert the blade. Vibration while cutting is noticeable but understandable and manageable--I find the proper blade greatly reduces vibration, for example using a green pruning blade on green wood. Pulling the trigger back smoothly increases cutting speed, and in most applications there is speed to spare and I end up working at a moderate pace instead of full out.The included blades are nearly useless and I recommend buying Milwaukee blades separately. Reciprocating saw blades use a standard chuck, so you are free to buy non-Ryobi blades.

This saw is obviously a dangerous instrument, and I would take care to use two handed operation, work gloves and eye protection--although it can be operated one handed in "an emergency", and be careful when carrying as the blade will tend to swing dangerously close to your calves or ankles depending on your height. Bright yellow plastic and all this is not a toy.

I only recommend this tool to someone with other Ryobi 18V One+ tools, I started my collection with Ryobi's highly recommended cordless drill which came with an impact driver, two batteries and a charger. Since I already had the batteries, it was relatively inexpensive to add other "battery and charger not included" tools such as this saw, a hammer drill, a flashlight and a circular saw. There are more heavy duty reciprocating saws out there like a genuine Milwaukee 650922 Sawzall 11 Amp Reciprocating Saw which will give you more power. What this little Ryobi tool gives you is homeowner level performance for not much money if you already own the batteries.

Having said this, this is actually my favorite power tool; it is a joy using a reciprocating saw to keep my greenery in line, and also great having around when holes need to be cut into walls and other rough tasks; the 4 stars is just because this saw is obviously not a heavy duty reciprocating saw, and is only of value to pre-existing Ryobi One+ owners. But if you do own 18V One+ batteries, this saw is a great deal and I highly recommend it.
