(More customer reviews)I owned one of these 12V Lith-Ion compact drill for three months and both batteries would no longer charge (power charger indicated defective batteries). The 12V charger had a faint humming noise comign from inside the charger unit. Had very light use. I returned to Home Depot for a replacement. Second replacement 12-volt drill/driver worked for a little over a year and now has the same problem (i.e., batteries won't charge ... power charger indicated defective batteries). Suspect the charger went bad yet again! Do yourself a favor a forget this Ridgid piece of crap. Total waste of money and time. I'm sticking with Bosch/Makita/Milwaukee. The chargers have never failed on me with those reputable brands.
