I just bought this at Home Depot.I wish they had a sample there, because I would have not bought this.

First, the battery cover would not open.I used all sorts of flat metal object to try to open it, which left a lot of scratches and dents on the cover.I was finally able to open it by pressing the unit against the floor and pushing down the ridged area of the cover with a flat-head driver.By then I had almost lost my thumb due to all the pressing, pushing and pulling.

Then I put the batteries in, turned the switch on, and was just amazed how noisy this thing is!This noisy vacuum has to be on the whole time while you use it in order for the unit to remain on the wall. For my projects I have to have the level on for at least 5 minutes, and I don't think I can tolerate the noise.I am going back to Home Depot and see if they'll take it back after I made all the scratches on the battery cover (which I had no choice but).

As the first reviewer says the suction was a clever idea, but only if it's kept down to the noise level most humans can stand...I am now going to try Zircon with the double-sided tape.
